The Home Staging Timeline: From First Call to Listing Photos
Most staging projects take about a week from the first call to listing photos: a discovery call, a walkthrough, a design plan, then an install that typically happens within 1–2 days of confirming the project. Removal is scheduled once the home sells.
1. Discovery call
A quick conversation about your timeline, the property and your goals. We ask for the address, square footage, target list date and whether the home is vacant or occupied. We reply to every request within 24 hours.
2. Walkthrough
In person or from photos and a floor plan. We plan the furniture layout, color palette and styling approach, and agree on which rooms to stage.
3. Quote and scheduling
You get a clear quote. Once it's approved, we schedule the install to land a day or two before your photographer.
4. Install day
Our team delivers and places furniture, art and accessories. Most installs are done in a single day, and a whole house usually takes a few hours to a full day.
5. Listing photos
We style for the camera. Beds are made tight, pillows are set and lamps are placed where the photographer will shoot. Book photos for the day after install if you can.
6. On market
The staging stays for the rental term, which we align with your listing timeline and can extend if needed.
7. Removal
Once the home sells, or when the term ends, we schedule the pickup, usually around the final walkthrough.
How to move faster
Send photos, a floor plan and your list date in the first message. Clear access for install day, and have the home cleaned before we arrive. For renovations, schedule us after the final clean.
