Living in a staged home works if you keep a quick daily reset: make the beds, clear the counters, open the blinds, turn on the lamps and put personal items away. Plan meals and routines around showings, and keep a bin ready for last-minute clutter.
The 15-minute reset
- Beds made, pillows set as staged.
- Kitchen counters clear except for staged pieces.
- Bathrooms: towels folded, toiletries in a drawer.
- Blinds open, lamps on.
- Personal items, mail and chargers in a basket you can take with you.
Keep the staging staged
Staged pieces are placed for flow and photos. Use them, but don't move them around. If a piece doesn't work for daily life, tell us and we'll adjust it.
Kids and pets
Give kids one bin per room for toys. For pets, pack up bowls, beds and litter before showings, and take the pets with you if you can.
Showings and open houses
Keep a showing checklist on the fridge. Leave for showings so buyers can talk freely. After open houses, check that everything is back in place.
